CasiLocal v1.0 MAD

About

A directory strictly for finding workspaces in Madrid.

The Utility of Excellence

CasiLocal Spots is explicitly not a standard review platform like Google Maps or Yelp. We do not rate places based on "vibes" or "friendliness" alone. We rate them based on their Utility for Production.

Can you actually get things done here? Is the wifi fast enough for a video call? We believe that quality is infrastructure. A spot with burnt coffee or a wobbly table is just as broken as a spot with slow wifi. We demand excellence in both the digital connection and the physical product.

The Legend

WiFi Speed

  • Flynet: Fiber-optic speeds. Video calls, large uploads, zero lag.
  • Reliable: Solid for general work, email, and browsing.
  • Spotty: Good for offline work, but risk of dropping.
  • Detox: No internet. Pure focus (or panic).

Noise Level

  • Library: Pin-drop quiet. Strict focus.
  • Hum: The standard cafe buzz. White noise for productivity.
  • Lively: Blenders, chatter, movement. Headphones recommended.

Plug Access

A simple binary check. Either outlets are accessible to users at tables, or they are not. We don't count the hidden socket behind the fridge.

The "Casi" Score

A weighted suitability calculation strictly for work. It combines Ergonomics (comfort), Connectivity (wifi/power), and Quality (coffee/service) into a single rating. If any pillar fails, the score reflects it.

Methodology

Our data comes from a hybrid engine of two sources:

Automated Analysis

We synthesize thousands of public user reviews using NLP to detect specific patterns—filtering for keywords like "wifi", "laptops", "sockets", and "noise".

Manual Verification

Physical spot-checks. We actually go there, order a coffee, and try to work. If the wifi fails, the data changes.

Note on Accuracy

Businesses change. Modems break, outlets get covered, and quiet corners become brunch hotspots. This directory is a living document. Verify before you commit to a full day of deep work.
